Mikayla Holden, Paralegal

Mikayla Holden is working on obtaining her AAS degree in Paralegal Technology and will be ready to graduate in the spring of 2023 from Carteret Community College. She also has plans of becoming a North Carolina Certified Paralegal in 2023. Mikayla joined Kirkman Whitford Law Firm in October of 2022 as a Paralegal in our Estates Department. Originally from Morganton, NC she graduated from Robert L. Patton High School in 2019, but she has been coming to the coast for years. She is now a resident of Newport, NC and enjoys the ocean every chance she gets.


 

Iris Carr, Paralegal

Iris obtained a degree in Psychology, minoring in Philosophy from NC State University in 2020. She joined Kirkman & Whitford in January of 2021. Iris primarily focuses on real estate, education, and municipal matters for two attorneys. She is currently pursuing a Paralegal Technology certification at Carteret Community College.

 


 

   Andrea Riggs, Paralegal

Andrea Riggs initially joined the Kirkman Whitford Law Firm in  July of 1995.  She served in many capacities in the firm (primarily as our Real Estate Closing Coordinator) before taking a season off beginning in 2007 to raise her four children.  She rejoined our firm in March of 2016 as a Paralegal, assisting primarily in estate administration and estate planning as well as traffic and criminal, municipal, education and real estate matters.  Andrea is the daughter of a photographer and, as a result, now avoids cameras whenever possible!
