Shelley graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro where she attained membership in Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society for Philosophers. She received her Juris Doctorate from the North Carolina Central University School of Law and received recognition for pro bono work during her study there. Shelley became a partner in 2024 at Kirkman, Whitford, Berryman, Gordon & Brown. She focuses on civil litigation, family law, and criminal and traffic law and plans to be the first in our area to practice in the emerging field of animal law.
